Cannes

By the A8 or along the coast

Most of the time, your driver heads west on the A8 motorway, then drops down into the centre of Cannes: 30 to 45 minutes depending on the hour, tolls included. When the motorway clogs up — at rush hour or on summer Fridays — the coast road through Antibes, Juan-les-Pins and Golfe-Juan is an alternative your driver will weigh up against the live traffic.

The flat rate covers the whole of Cannes: the Croisette, Le Suquet, La Californie, the station district and Cannes-la-Bocca. For Le Cannet, Mougins or Mandelieu, which are separate towns, the booking tool calculates the exact fare.

Festival, Lions, MIPIM: the weeks to plan for

Cannes runs on its calendar of major events: MIPIM in March, the Film Festival in May, Cannes Lions in June, the Yachting Festival in September and MIPCOM in October. During those weeks, Nice airport overflows, taxis are scarce and traffic around the Palais des Festivals is filtered. During the Film Festival, access is restricted around the Palais and along part of the Croisette, so your driver drops you at the nearest accessible point. Booking ahead secures both your vehicle and your price, confirmed the moment you book.

For a team arriving together for a stand or a shoot, the private van carries up to 8 people and 6 suitcases for €150: one vehicle, one meeting point in the arrivals hall, and everyone on site at the same time.

Met in the hall, picked up in time for your flight

Your flight is tracked in real time and the meeting time follows any delay, with no charge for an airline delay. Your driver waits in the arrivals hall of Terminal 1 or 2 with a sign bearing your name, and a complimentary waiting period is included after landing. You then head straight to your address in Cannes: a palace hotel on the Croisette, a villa in La Californie, the Vieux-Port for a boat to the Lérins Islands, or Port Canto to join a yacht.

On the way back, your driver collects you from the Croisette, the Palais or your residence and times the departure around your flight and the expected traffic on the A8.

Flat-rate price and extras

The journey costs €130 by sedan (up to 3 passengers and 3 suitcases) or €150 by van (up to 8 passengers and 6 suitcases), and the same from Cannes back to the airport. A return trip is two flat rates: €260 by sedan or €300 by van. Tolls, fuel, flight tracking and luggage assistance are included; baby seats and boosters are free.

Possible extras:

  • › suitcases beyond the vehicle’s capacity — worth knowing if you are bringing stand equipment: €5 each;
  • › a pet: €10;
  • › a stop on the way, in Antibes for instance: from €10;
  • › cancellation cover: €5, with a full refund up to 24 hours before departure.
